Dachstein-Tauern region - a very special nature

The hiking area offers:
- Countless
hiking opportunities ranging from easy valley
strolls, to Dachstein traverses and glacier
tours
- Mountain tarns and crystal-clear streams
- Traditional, welcoming mountain inns
- Our own mountain hut on the shores of the Giglachsee
(see photo below) at 2,000 metres above sea
level
In Schladming-Rohrmoos, hikers have their choice
of 490 km of hiking trails, ranging in
elevation from 750 to 2,863 m above sea level,
divided up as follows:
120 km of easy hiking paths (footpaths), 150 km of
intermediate trails (high pastures, lakes), 180 km
of challenging trails (mountain tours), 40 km of
theme trails. Of these trails, more than 40 km are
very suitable for Nordic Walking.
